A letter from the heart...

With Valentines day approaching we are looking for ideas to decorate and gifts to give. I'm not the traditional in your face red color girl. I like very calm neutral colors. This was a ...»
very easy project. The mache heart was purchased from Michael's and then was decoupaged with wrapping paper. I then took a small wooden heard painted it and stamped love on it and added some trim. Very easy peasy and it looks amazing. #ValentinesDay

One more question (sorry!). I see the eyelash yarn is the white trim, but what did you use for ...»
the larger greenish trim? Yarn? And what for the long, strands of white coming out of the eyelash yarn?

How did you get the glitter to stick to the inside of the jar? If you don't have it stick, ...»
then all the glitter will fall to the bottom when you stand it up. Looks like you adhered some of it to the inside of the glass.

New Years Resolution

My New Years resolution is to finally decorate our Master Bathroom. It's exactly how the builder built it... no upgrades, cheap ugly fixtures, no color. Booooring! #NewYearsResolution

I love that console, too. My girlfriends all love it & ask where my contractor found it but he ...»
won't give his "secrets" away. :-) (he says, with a Cheshire grin) He certainly came up with just the right look for me.

Love everything about your kitchen: the stone island, the backsplash you used, the cabinets, ...»
the pendant. It has "character" and doesn't look like so many other kitchens. Great job!

Beautiful kitchen and the sink is lovely...EXCEPT a one-bowl sink it much better because you ...»
can fit a large frying pan with a handle in it, and a roasting pan...all lay flat in a one-basin sink. Two basin sinks were fine when we washed on one side and rinsed on the other side. No more! :-)

  • Of course, I just *had* to add an oversized, vintage boat! I also painted the table Annie Sloane's Old White chalk paint, followed by a bit of distressing. 3

Where do you buy the Old White chalk paint you refer to? I'm going to have a bookcase made ...»
and I'd like to paint it that color. And when is the "waxing" done....can you send specifics?

Sebastian's colorful big boy room

Here's the room I just finished for my 2.5 year old little man. It was inspired by all the things he loves and includes a fair few DIY projects, including a button monogram and an ...»
upholstered bed frame.
