side table update

I wanted the harlequin look on this piece, but didn't want to measure, tape, and paint the design, so I used scrapbook paper to achieve the look I wanted.

DIY Sawhorse Desk for $50

I was able to recreate a $700 Restoration Hardware desk for around $50. This is a really easy build and I may just steal it for my own room ;-)! You can see more tips and photos at http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2012/07/restora...

  • Vintage DIY Entry Bench

Vintage DIY Entry Bench

This is my favorite build project to date. I love that for $100 I was able to build a vintage looking church pew for my entry that also has storage! I was intimidated of the detail work required (being that I have not been building long) but, I was surprised at how simple it really was:) http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2012/07/vintag...

  • Rustic sawhorse table - this piece was really trial and error!! Love the way it turned out :)
  • Coffee table my daughter and husband made.
  • Not to be outdone, my youngest daughter and her dad made this coffee table.
  • This piece was a custom order. The plans were for a bench and they wanted a table instead - we loved the way it turned out.
  • This is our latest project - media table. My husband sketched out the plan for this one.

Flower boots

Found these children's boots at the thrift store for 3 bucks, drilled holes in them, filled the bottoms with peanut packing and dirt and found some impatiens that match. Now they sit in front of the hog house lookin cute!
