  • I used the cheapest spoons I could find, and actually cut the handles off with a pair of scissors.  These were definitely NOT high quality plastic spoons!  :-)
  • I used just one color of craft paint for the whole thing, and simply added a little bit more white latex paint (left over from my ceiling) for each row of spoons. 2

  • The Zinnias are an amazing miracle to me, as I planted them from tiny, paper thin seeds, & they grew into these magnificant flowers! They are very low maintenence, they require very little water, they are lovely.

  • Start by building a base. Add one level at a time while keeping it fairly level. This takes a few tries to keep it level and sturdy. 1
  • When the stacked stone is the height desired, add the galvanized lid. One down and two more to go!
