Kitchen remodel, a little bit at a time. Currently working on changing out the lighting and also choosing paint.

Does anyone know what this is?

I recently bought a pallet of these at an auction. The auction house had it labeled as a peppermint plant, but I can't find anything like it on the internet. It looks like a type of seedum to me.

Plant Labels

Fellow Hometalker Erica Glasener and I visited a new nursery together today and inevitably brought back a few plants. I bought a cardoon, which will grow into a large, spiky, distinctive ...»
plant. I'll put it by the street and I'm sure my neighbors will ask what it is.

My question is this: What are some interesting ideas for a label?

I'm not fond of plastic or wooden stakes.....so what have you used that worked well?

I've found that paint pens last even longer than permanent markers... you find them in the ...»
craft aisle of most big box stores, or at any place that sells art supplies

What is the best type of lighting over a kitchen table?

Uplight or downlight, that is the question. We're about to change out our old fluorescent fixtures in the kitchen and replace them with some mini pendants over the island and can lights ...»
around the perimeter. Now I'm realizing there will be no lights reflecting off the ceiling and adding that type of glow to the room. Will our table be adequately lit if we choose to put an up-facing fixture in that spot?

Get a combo fixture. The light I used in my nook area has both up and down lights with a ...»
switch. The switch on the fixture can turn the up lights on and down lights off, the uplights off and the down lights on or all on and all off.
