Things in my backyard

Every chance I get I go and work on my backyard. Just enjoy being outdoors, especially with my plants.

  • The garden is healthy but a bit uneven. Some seeds failed to germinate while there is a mystery veggie(s) front and center getting out of control. 1

How to Utilize 3 inches of Space

My canned items were getting lost in a deep, floor to ceiling cupboard. At the top of the basement stairs landing I saw that there was three inches of space where the door jamb met the ...»
wall. I asked my husband to frame it in and put the space to use. I can see everything at a glance and was surprised to learn how many jars of some things I had lost to the back of the cupboard. I wouldn't intentionally stock 9 jars of salsa and 8 containers of mustard.

Pottery Barn Inspired Patio Decor

Using inspiration from Pottery Barn, vintage barn pulleys, rope and a collection of old lanterns, I created outdoor ambiance for our patio by simply tying rope around the beams of our ...»
pergola and hanging the various candle holders on hooks attached to the ropes and pulleys. This can also be done by tying rope to an old ladder which is suspended overhead.

More Bluebonnets. A LOT more.

This pictures was sent to me by Bernice (for some reason it wasn't uploading on her computer.) It is the most wondrous sight I have ever seen. Many thanks to Bernice's friend Tamara in TX for sharing this picture!
