About Me:

Hi! My name is Kyle and I am a self-taught and avid home improver. I caught the construction bug as a young child and spend much of my spare time doing home improvement projects. Throughout college, I also ran a successful painting business. My experience has taught me so much and I am happy to have finally found an outlet to share my skills and projects with fellow DIYers.

Favorite area of home improvement:

Rough framing, finish carpentry, furniture refinishing, painting, and landscaping

  • Then we mounted the painted brackets to the wall, attached two self-adhesive rubber dots to each bracket, and topped them with glass pieces cut to size. 1

Industrial Shelf Solution for the Guest Bath (or any room!)

We were in desperate need of extra storage in our teeny, tiny guest bath. The single vintage shelf was simply not enough. A fan of all things industrial, we used metal plumbing fixtures ...»
and glass to create three simple shelves. Triple the storage space!

How we updated our Living Room with 1x3s and Paint

Our living room walls were apple green and there was way too much wall. We updated our space with some 1x3s and paint to match our trim. It gave our space a modern update without a large expense. This project cost us less than $200!

  • This floor cleaner also doubles as a great all-purpose cleaner! I use it on my counters (NOT granite!), mirrors, and even our stainless steel appliances!
  • Use a microfiber cloth wrapped over a Swiffer (or similar sweeper). Better yet, you can purchase a Libman or Vileda mop with a refillable compartment for your homemade cleaner!

All-Natural Homemade Floor Cleaner

The best homemade floor cleaner made with a few simple, all-natural ingredients to get your floors clean and streak-free! Also works as a great all-purpose cleaner for counters, mirrors, ...»
appliances, etc. With nearly 500k pins on Pinterest, this one's a keeper!

Wind Turbine Light Fixture

Instead of paying hundreds of dollars for a vintage wind turbine fan turned into a light fixture, I made my own with supplies from Lowe's.

Do you think they will like it?

I made this as a wedding gift for a friend. I hope she loves it. I was inspired by her Pinterest board!
