That's a good question Stephanie. I haven't used my table too much yet, but the wax is the key ...»
to protecting it. From what I understand, if you apply the wax correctly, it won't show wear and tear easily. I've heard of people using too much wax and their kids played with their toys on it and the wax ended up getting 'indented' which showed. But if you wax and buff properly, it sets the chalk paint and that should protect it.

DIY Drop Cloth Curtains

I was looking for curtains to add to my room and was hoping to find something with a 'linen' feel. Drop cloth is somewhat 'linen' like so I tried my hand at creating my own curtains from drop cloth. And bonus, no sewing was involved!

Rebecca, I don't think they would be too neutral for your room. You could also paint on the ...»
drop cloth if you wanted to add some color (stripes or a stencil). Just an idea!

Rustic & Earthy Christmas Mantel

I decided to switch up my Christmas color scheme this year and go with a more rustic/earthy look. Incorporated a lot of pine cones, burlap and distressed/wood elements. Love how it turned out!
