Nickel (Coin) Art

I decided to create my own art work for a new space we're in the process of redecorating. I made some word art using nickels and wooden letters. The finished product is so much cooler than the pictures depicts. It looks like flat, disco balls on my wall!! Check it out! http://aggravation-station.blogspot.ca/2012/...

My $50 Thrift Store Dresser Makeover

I found this old, beaten up, wood-tone dresser at a local thrift store for only $50! I could immediately see the potential in it, so I brought it home and gave it a makeover! I used satin ...»
ivory paint on the outside with a wax topcoat. To get rid of the old, musty smell, I even painted the insides of each drawer a soft green called 'Ocean Pearl'. Then, I added a lovely mirror I found at a local salvage store to really take it up a notch! As time went on, I changed our master bedroom's decor a bit and changed the accessories near the dresser to silver, so I spray painted the handles black. I've loved both looks, and love that this dresser is so versatile! It's truly become one of my favorite pieces!

An ugly dresser gets a rustic make-over

I scraped all of the sponge-paint off of this $25 craigslist dresser and recovered it with cowhide and upholstery tacks. http://www.thevspotblog.com/2011/02/holy-cow... #Before ...»

  • I had my husband saw a yardstick into eight pieces, and drill holes in each piece to attach them with jute.
  • I sanded the edges, rounded the corners and stained the pieces. I also added a sparkle glaze. I used jute to join the yardstick pieces. 1

Yardstick Christmas Tree

This is an easy Christmas re-purpose of a yardstick. More complete instructions are on my blog post. #Recycle

Drum table Makeover

I have been using this drum table in my home for a while. It was one of my first blogging projects. I brought something in to replace this piece and thought I would give it a little ...»
makeover. I painted the top with some CeCe Caldwells paint and waxed and buffed it. What a difference a coat of paint makes.

This was my biggest build yet! I have always been in LOVE with Restoration Hardware's sideboard collection. Unfortunately, I wasn't loving their huge price tag. I teamed up with Ana White ...»
