  • With a few changes, the living room will be a neutral space with bursts of blue; my favorite color.
  • I plan on upholstering the coffee table, changing out the hardware on the console and finding an accent pillow for the slipper chair.
  • Expect a complete transformation of the accent wall.  The slate is being wiped clean, and I've found the perfect statement piece to start the transformation. 1

  • Fresh flowers in the foyer welcome friends and family.  You can buy them inexpensively at Trader Joe's or Walmart.
  • Faux flowers work well too.  You can find real looking faux flowers at many places now...
  • Add some natural elements to bring the outdoors in.  This nest was built in our wreath last year...I kept it once the birds were gone.

    screen. Every year the barn swallows believe they need to build nests there, but the flapping bags will scare them off. I usually only have to leave them up for a couple of days!!
