  • Homemade wood filler....saw dust and Elmer's Glue...mix, fill in hole and it dries in minutes! Sand to make smooth and get to work!
  • Vaseline....my favorite distressing tool!
  • After the spray paint was dry, I wiped the areas where I added the Vaseline with a paper towel to reveal the dark paint underneath
  • I painted the areas of the table that I wanted to distress with dark brown crafts paint....added a thin layer of Vaseline over the painted areas and then gave it a few coats of Antique White Spray Paint
  • chippy look using vaseline

I've started to paint my kitchen cupboards white but with white appliances I'm not sure if I should have gone white. Any suggestions? Of course I'm planning on new wood laminate flooring ...»
and new counters so maybe I can just incorporate colors in the walls?

    I love it!} We have a "granny smith apple green" on the walls so it helps to tone it down a bit. Go for it! Your painted cabinets look brand new! Great job so far!

I found this sweet little nightstand on the side of the road and loved being able to give it a new life! It was a fun project that now has me looking for "trash" everywhere!
