Glass Flower Garden Art

These are super easy to make. Just find a few new or old plates and stack with glue. I used plain glass paints and then painted them with glass paint. They make a great statement in your landscape.

we made our boulders out of concrete all you do is place a pile of rubble broken rocks or ...»
concrete drbrie cover it all with chicken wire and bend and shape it randomly, then mix any old latex paint into it any color dont worry if it is a bright color it dont show.....you are using the latex to fortify the concrete then slop the rather stiff concrete onto your shape and really slap at it shaping and pressing indentations and crevises into it then when you get a rock boulder look use some concrete pigment or grout which is colored and sprinkle the colors on it paying attention to where naturally darkened areas are like crevices and cracks...... and pounce the colors into the wet concrete while wet with your hands or a paint brush cut off so the bristles are stiff(old paint brushes with paint left in them work great, go ahead and reuse that old ruined paintbrush.....you would be surprised after you get a couple of these under your belt how real they look.....my whole fish pond has them as a border.....we had so many people want to make them that we had a couples boulder building party we served pizza and beer and homemade wine after they got done

Gardening: Purchasing Trees/Plants online

I've never purchased online for trees & such. What are your thoughts about it, and where would be the best place to shop? Thanks!

not a good idea...i had a bad expirience with this.....they ship the trees in fall and winter ...»
when the ground is too had to plant them so my choice was to over winter in the garage which meant trying to keep them alive for many months...(if they were alive when i recieved them)how would i know since they are shipped dormant....but only 1 had foliage in the spring the rest were dead ....my order was 280.00 worth of trees and only 1 apple tree survived....i could have bought 1 apple tree for 19.99 locally and it would have been during the appropriate time to plant it and it would have had leaves that i could have told whether or not it was a living tree....and if you buy locally from a chain store you will typically get things which are for your zone and they will be cheaper
