They let me peek inside their homes to see how they decorated their Thanksgiving tables this year. Two completely different styles - both gorgeous! Watch. Oh, and I sound very high pitched for some reason. I think I was excited to be hanging out with them, lol.

I made flowers out of various dishes and china. Plus metal pipe and I have really cute flowers!

Using window caulk instead of glue, just caulk pieces together. Add a flattened silver spoon to the back so the handle can go down in the hollow pipe to make them into flowers for you garden art!

I flattened the spoon with a hammer on my cement step. The handle of the spoon goes into the pipe.

Shade/Snow garden

Had a friend suggest I post these two pics showing my shade garden in different seasons. It's an entirely different world only six months apart!

From Old Tool Room to New Mud Room

After moving our tools to our new garage, we had space available right off the original two car garage. Our contractor came over and put up beadboard and then I painted it from the floor ...»
to the ceiling. Now it is an organized space for coats and shoes.

No, you can not use polyurethane. You need to go buy an outdoor sealer. And no, I did not seal ...»
my windows because I didn't care if they rot down...I will just make another or something else, but that is the way I am. I did build a square form from pressure treated wood that the base of the windows are screwed into, so the windows don't actually sit on the ground. Then I just use exterior paint to paint the windows when needed.

My garden cupola

A friend brought over some old windows knowing that I would do something fun with them. The outcome? This fun large garden cupola over my septic tank! The roof is plastic ceiling tiles.

Kelly S, that saying doesn't work in our case! The reason for this flower bed came because the ...»
grass would not stay green over the septic tank. I think it sucked the moisture out of it, so i did some research and found that I could plant shallow rooted plants over it...then came the cupola.
