We finally finished our Kitchen Re-do. We left the walls a French Vanilla by Behr. Antique the walls with Burnt Sienna glaze. Added the recycled pallet backsplash. Then painted the
cabinets Dove White by Valspar, We then added board and batten to the back side of our cabinet. Then we finally installed the laminate floor. Then added the new quarter round. I am in love with my kitchen, Again.
I love having more space in my kitchen for prepping. But when my boys and hubby want to help out there is not much room left. I looked on Craigslist and other stores and could not find
anything I liked. One day looking online at the blogs I love. I came across an island at Ourvintagehomelove.blogspot that I totally fell in love with. So I thought why not just make one. Since I did not have old reclaimed barn wood, it was off to Lowes we went.
I knew once I saw a picture of a tree in an old wash tub, I had to do the same thing. My husband found our old tub under our house. I cleaned it up and sat it in a corner of my dining room till now. We found our tree in Sparta, NC. My boys usually pick out our tree, this year my oldest picked this beauty. We decorated this beautiful tree with white lights pinecombs, white, gold and clear ornaments. I also took a canvas drop cloth and ripped into strips. Then tied (knots) the strips
together to use as my garland. I am so in love with my tree.
Last week, I found a copper pot at Goodwill for $10. Copper pots are really great for Fall decorating! Their warm tones blend right in with the Fall colors. For now, my new find will
be in the office being used to store items. My other one, as you can see from the photo, was used in last year's decorations. To see other uses for copper boiling pots, go to my blog at http://awalkinthecountryside.blogspot.com/20...
