Beautiful Outdoor Area On a $100 Budget!

I created this outdoor patio area for my husband I after we had just got married. Everything you see in the pictures cost around $100.00 using Dollar Tree, Ikea and Big Lots! I was so ...»
happy with the way it came out.

I had a plug in chandelier that I had purchased for my wedding that I knew I wanted to use centered above the table, and that's how my ideas got started. I then hung Lill Curtains ($2.50 from Ikea) Around the entire patio and it really changed the look instantly.

For a complete breakdown and helpful tips to get the same "look" you can visit my blog at:

Old Nightstand brought back to life

I bought this at Goodwill for 9.50 and painted it with homemade chalk paint. Then I distressed it and sealed it with ASCP clear wax and then dark wax. I painted the handles with Oiled Bronze spray paint. Now it is beautiful.

REpurposing an old brass chadelier, to old iron for the patio

I have always wanted to reuse an old brass chandy for the patio. So when a friend offered me one for FREE, I snatched it. I took it apart and removed all the electrical, put it back ...»
together so it could be used with candle cups and then got to spraying it 'old iron', paint I got on clearance. Then used rope to hang and added the blue candle cups and voila, an Old Iron Chandy for the patio

  • My new mudroom!
  • A faux plant and "welcome" vinyl on the door make this seem like a real mudroom!
  • There are plenty of hooks for jackets & coats and my reusable shopping bags. Shoes are stored on the wire organizer and on a boot tray.

No mudroom? I created one in my garage!

I wish we had a mudroom right off our garage but we don't so I decided to get creative and make my own! ...»

The area by the door leading into the house was the perfect spot for my new mudroom! The first thing I did was de-clutter and clean. Then I put a new coat of paint on the wall and added storage for shoes, bags, coats, etc.

Here are the details on everything I did:
