  • The desk fits easily under the hutch. For reference, here are the dimensions of the desk:

48 " wide
18 1/2″ deep
33″ tall. 1
  • Pry the pallet boards off your free pallet leaving the frame of the pallet intact.
  • Remove the legs and braces from an old table to use as the legs for your desk.
  • Construct a frame by attaching the pallet boards to the sides of the legs.
The pallet boards on the long side of the desk measure 48″ wide and the pallet boards on the short side measure 11″ wide.
  • On the original pallet frame....cut frame to 18 1/2″ deep.

Re-nail the boards back onto the pallet without any gaps.

Attach top to base.

We had some old table legs and we constructed a frame by attaching the pallet boards to the sides of the legs. The pallet boards on the long side of the desk measure 48″ wide and the pallet boards on the short side measure 11″ wide.

It was such a fun project and such a great way to repurpose and upcycle.

Branch Candle Centerpiece

#Bestof2012 #Recycle ...»

Fun fall idea from a holly tree and used as a centerpiece with tea candles. Another one of my hubby's project from a pinterest idea. Love the look it gives to our table with a runner, pumpkins, foliage, acorns and pinecones.

Blessing Jar: Record blessings throughout the year and open on Thanksgiving as a family

This is a cherished tradition in our family that we've been doing since 1999. Throughout the year this simple jar sits on our kitchen table and we fill it with blessings recorded on slips ...»
of paper. On Thanksgiving evening, after we've purchased and decorated our Christmas tree, we empty out the jar and read the blessings as a reflection of our year.

DIY Candlelabra

This project is so easy. Only takes one brass candle holder, some thrift store tea cups and saucers, some crystals or old jewelry and some strong glue and spray paint. Put it together and you've created a very pretty centerpiece.

Early 20th Century Hutch Revived

In what I would call one of my all time best finds, I got this hutch in a thrift store for $12. I couldn't get it out the door fast enough. I revived it with paint and stain and it really has been a personal favourite.
