Design & Décor: Looking for this lamp shade - need 2

I found the lamps on sale at Kirkland's, but the lamp shades are from a lamp sold at Pier 1 and are no longer available. Anyone have a source for this color and style lamp shade? I've Google searched for them for 5 hours last night, and come up with almost nothing -- sadly, the Pottery Barn version is sold out. Thanks for helping!

Vintage Industrial Boy's Bedroom with a Closet/Office

This is my teenage son's bedroom. It is only 10x10', so his closet serves as an office space and hidden storage for his clothes under the box pleated skirt.

  • MDF shelves provide lots of easy access storage.
The tissue paper pompoms help soften and add some pretty to the utilitarian space. 2
  • Another view of the room. 2
  • Inexpensive ClosetMaid cabinets provide storage and act as a base for the cutting table. I dressed them up with some paint, beadboard, beadboard wall paper and trim.

  • Pegboard organization for my tools.
  • This thread rack was and easy DIY project using scrap pegboard and wood dowels. 4
  • I took my old desk apart, turned it upside down and added casters. It now slides under the long desk but is easily pulled out to access the back of the computer's cpu. 3
  • I like organization that is also pretty. My ribbon is on display in clear plastic canisters. 2

  • I made a padded top for this bushel basket by covering an old clock with foam and quilt batting. The center already had a hole so adding the little button to tuft the center was easy. It doubles as a seat and yarn storage. 2

A DIY Sewing Room

When I remodeled my sewing room to make it more efficient, a lot of DIY work went into it and not a lot of money. All the furniture and storage in the room was either reused, repurposed ...»
or rearranged.

What had previously been my cutting table, became a wall to wall desk for my computer and sewing machines. It is a hollow core door. In order to use it as a desk, my husband cut it down the center, reinforced it with some wood supports in the hollow area, and secured it to the wall with wood cleats. The front is supported on legs fashioned from plumbing pipe.

Stenciled Tables

Recently I've stenciled a couple of dining room tables that have been fairly popular, so I thought I would share them with y'all! They are done so that the wood shows through the stencil ...»
and I love the look. Here are the links to the posts: Paisley table - http://www.domesticimperfection.com/2012/05/...

Turn your stairs into a work of art

When I I ripped off the old stairway carpet, I debated for two long years on what to do with the stairs. The 'old patina' showing up on the stairs from daily wear and tear fired up an ...»
idea... make them look as if they were made from old crates.

So I got to work creating stencils and painted them with craft paint. Adding creative things such as yardsticks for risers just added to the fun.

The stairs fool nearly everyone coming in thinking I spent a FORTUNE on them, when in reality, they were absolutely free.

Closet Reading Nook

When it was time to move our daughter into her "Big Girl Room," I wanted to have a fun place for her to read. There just happened to be two closets, and we only needed one, so by removing some shelves and securing a bench, we were able to create a fun reading nook for her. It turned out great and she loves it! Thanks for letting me share :)
