In March of this year, we purchased a home that is almost, if not already, 100 years old.
It's in AMAZING shape but we are trying to figure out what we are going to do for HEAT in the fall/winter.
As of right now there is a Natural Gas Water boiler system that sits UNDER the house with large radiators inside each room.
Since the boiler sits under the house, it gets flooded when there is a large amount of rain. (whoever put it in, dug a small area down into the ground and put the boiler there) ...»

Design & Décor: Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I've stopped by Hometalk. Been busy setting up our veggie garden.

We don't want to use it as a masonry fireplace - we would like to put a wood stove insert.
I was told we still need to have it lined, cleaned and inspected before putting an insert in. ...»

Pics of my new Straw Bale garden - it loved the rain this last weekend!
I have a few more bales with lettuce, kale, beans and spinach all sprouting!
Gardening: We recently cut back some Wisteria that was growing on our pergola.
Although it's very pretty, it's taking over. We are trying to cut out all the roots, but we are looking for ideas on how to kill what's leftover - organically - if possible. We will NOT use round up. Any suggestions?

I know that the men will appreciate these photos.
This is part of a design project that I did last Friday. The client is a very good hunter & he & his wife love his trophies, so I displayed them in this manner. What do you think?
