Dark Basement Becomes A Cozy Family Room

Our basement was dark and bland, and the layout was strange with no where to put the sofa, without closing the room in. It was not fun to play in for our daughter, and it was a hard room ...»
to hang out in with friends. We repainted the room a dusky purple, got a new sofa, and completely got rid of our bookshelves and almost all of our books (we went digital)! A new rug and accessories helped to update the space. A new tv mounted above the fireplace cut down on furniture, leaving more floor space, and I made a coffee table out of repurposed pallets!

Studio Apartment Living Room Update

We are a dumpster divers living in a studio apartment, so it was inevitable - we've outgrown our space. Unfortunately, it will be several months before our iron-clad lease is up. We can't ...»
bear to part with furniture, so we're moving it around and attempting to lighten up the space.

Gardening: What is this and how do I get rid of it?

This is growing on or in my oregano in pot on my deck. It is scary looking - I am guessing it is some sort of fungus. I don't even want to touch it, but I want to save my oregano!!!

eat something that you have no clue how it might have infected the entire plant, dirt and possibly be in the pot's material?

Is it just me or does this seem a bit "over the top"?

Heading back from some work in Wyoming, my client wanted to take me out for a bite at a Restaurant in Fort Collins. They were going to continue on down to Denver for a night at the symphony. After we ate at this neat Brazilian Grill. I took the back roads home along the edge of foothills, rather than zipping down the less attractive stretch of I-25.

I happened along this place....I have to say it is probably the biggest home I have ever seen.

Gardening: Anyone know what this plant is?

I have a friend who just bought an older house in Northern/Central Indiana, and these are coming up all over the garden beds through the weed-protecting fabric. She's not sure if it is a weed or an intentional plant.
