Aging and Painting New Terracotta Pots

I took some standard, cheap terracotta pots from the home and garden store and gave them a bit of character by aging and painting them before planting with some geraniums and setting on my front porch steps. You can see how at this link ...http://www.itallstartedwithpaint.com/2012/06/seeing-spots-and-polka-dots.html

Board and Batten

We installed easy board and batten into my children's room recently. Its an easy and inexpensive way to add dimension and character to any room. Check out the tutorial at my blog http://lakecottagedreams.blogspot.com

@Sandi M. I am so sorry I just noticed that you asked about the wall color. I cannot remember ...»
the name or the brand off the top of my head. I know the brand is called like Cottage Colors or something and I got it from my local hardware store. I will try and find out for you the next time I stop there. Thanks so much for your comments.

  • Then board and batten will go on the left of this wall and on the wall straight ahead. 2

Stairs: Help with board and batten

When putting board and batten up on stairways is there a certain high it should go?

I am no pro but... I think its up to you, I would go the same height or or a little bit taller ...»
than the banister. If you do a google search about it you should find some examples and just go with what makes you happy.
