Pillows From Thrifted Sports Coats

The 2 Seasons
by The 2 Seasons
When it was time to change the summer look in our sunroom this year, I decided to forgo the bright/colorful plaids and flannels for a more masculine look. Fall came in the form of burlap and masculine plaid pillows that I made from thrifted men's sports coats.
I saw some tweed and glen plaid wool pillows a while back by Ralph Lauren, and they were selling for hundreds of dollars. I decided that it might be fun to use sports coats that I purchased at the thrift store to get a whimsical yet masculine look for a fraction of the price. I didn't disguise the fact that these pillows were made from sports coats, and I think that is what is so charming about them.
Along with some other fall accessories, the sunroom has a warm and inviting feel to it, thanks to the pillows.
I kept all of the furniture but brought in more texture and deep colors.
The sports coats pillows complete the look and fit right in with the other old touches like an old refurbished steamer trunk, an old wicker sofa, an old filing cabinet from a hardware store, and an old bench.
