Outdoor Lighted Christmas Gift Boxes (front Porch Christmas Decor)
Outdoor holiday decor can be expensive, cheaply made, and tiny. Make your own outdoor lighted holiday gift boxes that will withstand harsh winters and last a long, long time!
Instead of purchasing overpriced cookie cutter outdoor holiday gift boxes for our front porch, my handsome handy husband and I built them.
We created the frame of the boxes out of 1x4's and spray painted the wood so it wouldn't show through as much. We then wrapped each frame with twinkle lights and stapled the cords to the wood so they wouldn't move around
I found the decorative mesh ribbon at Sam's Club but I'm sure something similar can be found at most of the craft stores.
The boxes are on the heavier side which is good for our Midwest winters. The smaller boxes made of wire available at the stores would probably disappear in our first snow storm. I like my neighbors, but not enough to share my holiday porch decorations with them.
