I recently participated in a blogger Secret Santa Gift Exchange and the only catch was to make a holiday gift out of one power tool. This time around my power tool of choice was the jigsaw and I came up with this by using one piece of wood...
Each year my family hosts a gingerbread house decorating party and I thought I would share in the fun and make my Secret Santa recipient this cute little gingerbread couple.
My project started out with one solid wood board...I traced a pattern off of my computer and used it as a stencil on the board. Each measured about 12" tall.
I cut two out with a jigsaw and then stained them, next came the fun part -

decorating.
I sent these to my Secret Santa Blogger Friend. I hope she loves them.

Now to make two more for our Gingerbread House Decorating Party!

I have never used a jigsaw - is it tricky at all? I have limited strength/dexterity in my dominant wrist, but recently found I could really use one if it is not to difficult or dangerous...
