How much per square foot is average to have laminate flooring installed?
-
KMS Woodworks on Dec 22, 2011I have seen signs in my Local Home Depot that say...installations starting at $1.99 per sq foot (labor only) that is pretty cheap...but keep in mind laminate is a cheap floor and you basically get what you pay for. I no longer install laminates as I feel it does not provide long term value to my clients...REAL hardwood or tile will outlive many laminate floors.Helpful Reply

Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Dec 22, 2011This varies a bit with your local trade conditions. Around here it is around $3 per square foot labor. As KMS said, places like Home Depot or Lowes usually are a bit cheaper - but not necessarily better.Helpful Reply

3po3 on Dec 22, 2011I installed a few laminate floors in Chalmette and other parts of Da Parish - just to get people back in their homes for the lowest price. It is a pretty easy DIY project, but we were also putting it in assuming that folks would likely be replacing it if they had enough money. I guess I am agreeing with KMS that you are better off with something else, but if you are putting it in, just do it yourself.Helpful Reply
