What is the quietest garage door opener for being located directly under a bedroom? What do I need to look for when buy

Southern Trillium LLC on Dec 29, 2011It is actually a combination of the opener and the door itself. A door with non-metal rollers will product much less noise as it travels along the track. Also, a nicer belt drive opener will keep the noise to a minimum. One such opener is this one http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerweb/pages/productmodeldetail.aspx?modelId=717 . I have heard a nicer door with an older model of this opener and it is amazingly quiet, both in the room above the garage as well as inside the garage while in operation.Helpful Reply

3po3 on Jan 01, 2012It seems to me that any rollup garage door is going to transfer noise and vibration into that bedroom. Maybe you should consider a swinging garage door, like this - http://www.realcarriagedoors.com/Helpful Reply
