Old Wood Window Transformation

I started a series over on my blog called the $100 Room Challenge in September 2015. I give myself one month, and $100 to completely transform a space. (You can learn more about the $100 Room Challenge, and find links to all my $100 Room Reveals, HERE). You do not need a big budget to make major changes, but you do need to get creative and think outside the box. In December 2015, I worked on my kids' bathroom. Because I only give myself $100 to work with, I have to get creative. Here's what I did with an old wood window I bought for $15!
It all started with a vision, but I really needed an old wood window (preferably with chippy white paint) to carry it out. I was SO excited to find this one for a mere $15 at an "occasional shop" in town.
Because the window tested positive for lead paint, I need to seal it. My mother-in-law was willing to help me out, and even pitched in the supplies so I didn't need to buy anything.
I added a few faucet knobs and black & white photos of my kiddos in the tub. To see how it turned out, click HERE

So what did you seal the window with? I have an old window I want to repurpose..chippy like yours and I never thought about lead paint. You didn't remove any of the chips, just sealed it?
