design tools?

Is there a good web based design tool where you can do a virtual room design to scale, adding in color, flooring types, ceiling and walls, furniture etc to visualize our plans?

We do not use any CAD software tools. But our Virtual staging tool can place just furnishings and decor into photos of a vacant room that is already compeleted with walls, flooring, etc. Don't know if this is of help but if you have projects that are more finished, virtual staging is a more economical tool to give buyers or clients an idea of how to layout a space and make for a more attractive staged photo online and in any marketing materials!

Chief Architect is quick easy and I love it. I know Revit but prefer Chief when it comes to residential Design. You should check it out.

If you are looking for a simple, one time use, try the room planner from I.O.Metro. It seems pretty easy:

Although I use the programs mentioned above, there is a free one online. It's called roomplanner.com. I just saw an example of it today at a Remodeling Summit I attended in Maryland.
