Little Drawer Organizer Update With Chalkboard Paint

I'm always trying to keep the clutter out of sight, so these little drawer organizers always catch my eye at garage sales and thrift stores. I love how they hide the small necessities of daily life like phone cords, keys, etc.. Almost every room has those trinkets that need-a-hiding, right?
Well in my quest to be a bit more organized I tackled a rather grungy, old mini organizer and not only gave it a new look, I turned it into a mini message center to boot!

This is the before. Ugh. It was dingy and all scuffed up! And it didn't have any knobs.
I think I found this little chest for about $3.00 at a garage sale.
Now it keeps some of the clutter off our kitchen counters and helps us take quick notes and messages through out the work week.

Jerry on Jan 16, 2016I think after painting it white I would have bought stick on letters and put keys, coupons etc. on each drawer before painting the chalkboard paint. After painting chalkboard paint peel off the letters. Then each drawer would be neatly labeled and use the sides for notes and grocery list. Love the nobs you made.
