Thrift Store Sweater Turned Candle Koozie

I first saw this project on HGTV. I thought it was unbelievably cute. I recently updated my coffee table styling for winter and wanted to cozy up the decor. I purchased several sweaters at a local thrift store for less $1 a piece.
Using scissors, I cut off the wristband of the sweater.
I purchased some burlap ribbon which I know I can use in a ton of different projects.
This candle update is particularly good for candles which have a chip in them. Perfect way to cover up any mishaps from dropping them like I did!
After inserting the candle in the koozie, I tied the ribbon around it.
Enjoyed the project?

NancyMaria on Feb 22, 2016Very cute, but for a SAFER fix with same look, use WOOL. It will melt, not burn, thats why hearth rugs infront of fireplaces are always wool.
