could you use a old fish tank that has lights for a starter bed to grow seeds?

Douglas Hunt on Feb 06, 2012Susan, if you are using the tank as a way to create a warm environment, it might work, although if I recall from the aquariums of my youth, the lights in them are quite small, and I'm not sure they are designed to be on for a long period of time. I think the size of the bulbs would also would be a limiting factor if you are trying to mimic daylight. But you have little to lose by trying, right?Helpful Reply
