Which Kreg Jig to buy?
I would like some advice please. I have never used a Kreg Jig before and I hear so many great things about Kreg Jig that I have decided I must get one.
Which one would you advise to get for a beginner and what else should I order? I love to do a lot of furniture makeovers and repairs to our house and just building things I need.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Feb 01, 2016start out with the basic one (I think it is about $20 at Lowes). It is the jig itself. As for buying the kit, it can be quite pricey. I use my own clamps. It is a nice tool to haveHelpful Reply

117135 on Feb 02, 2016I started with the R3 model and I do recommend their clamp that holds the jig in place. Their clamp is so convenient. If money is not an object than I would get the master system right away or the K4. I loved and used mine so much that the convenience of having the master system was worth the investment. If you will only use on occasion then get a lower model.Helpful Reply

LVReid on Feb 02, 2016My opinion is IF you're planning on several projects, go ahead and get the small kit. I just finished 2 Kitchen tables and that's all I used. You can get elaborate and by all the accessories, but I got by with the small kit. I can't remember the Model, but it has the drill guide, bit and clamp. I used the drill guide separate for most of the project. You also get a DVD with it that helps. Good Luck!Helpful Reply
