Kimberly Barney on Apr 29, 2013I am a bit confused by your plant choices. Is this a shade or sun garden? Daffodils require sun; mums require at least partial sun; and hosta are shade plants. It would help in making suggestions if I knew what the conditions were. However, with that being said, I would suggest that a base of bushes or ornamental grasses be placed within the garden to assure year round interest. These would be placed to the rear of the garden. For shade gardens, I like lillies of the valley, brunerra and coral bells. For sun gardens, I like daisies, lillies, and tulips to name a few. If you have pictures to post, that would help with the suggestions as well. Have fun!!Helpful Reply

Gail Salminen on Apr 29, 2013@Jill I think you would receive more useful comments if you could post a picture of your front walkway as it is now. Then people can comment on what plants might be suitable to your climate as well as compliment your exiting plants, home and yard. It is difficult to provide appropriate suggestions without a visual.Helpful Reply
