Denise G on Feb 27, 2012When I had stripped down our bathroom for a 'makeover' I had the builder put in two small cut outs on either side of the shower. Tiled the inside too. Now we have a built in 'his & her' shelves for shampoo & soap(instead of those shower hangers. Also, don't forget a built in sitting area. We also made the shower doors extra wide for when we get older & maybe using wheelchairs. All our doors in the house are wide enough ti accommodate wheelchairs. I'm NOT going anywhere!!LOL!!Helpful Reply

Ruth K on Feb 27, 2012Denise my husband is a disabled VietNam Vet. so the main reason for remodeling is to accomidate his needs. Everything ,everyplace will be wheelchair accessible. He is my hero and I want to make this home comfortable for him and we have some friends that are in wheelchairs, they will always be welcome in our home as well. I like your idea of the cubbys in the shower.Helpful Reply
