Creating a Focal Wall with Painted Stripes

The use of bold blue and white stripes in my boys' bedroom creates a lot of personality without breaking the bank. The room is fun, vibrant, and full of energy just like its inhabitants. The bookcase is from IKEA and the cardboard deer head is from Cardboard Safari.
This is my boys' bedroom wall once it was all painted and accessorized.
The hardest part about creating painted stripes is the measuring and taping. Make sure to measure accurately (using a level helps.) Also, make sure you choose a good painter's tape. It will save a lot of touch ups later on.
Roll on the stripe color over your taped background. After it dries for several hours – paints vary so make sure to check the can – remove your painter's tape.
Enjoy your new striped walls!.
