My project is a simple but messy to make Falling Flowers Spring Sign. The materials used you just might have around the house.
Laying out the falling flowers
This is my finished falling flowers spring sign.
Above is what I started with. A bunch of inexpensive silk flowers that were dipped right into a container of paint. Then hung on a barb wire fence to drip dry. Note: they did take all night to dry.
While the flowers were drying, I made an image transfer from a small piece of drop cloth to resemble a flower seed packet.
When the flowers dried, I cut the wire stems off next to the heads.
I found an old board in the workshop and hot glued the "flower seed packet" to the top...upside down. Then glued the flowers spilling from the packet down the board.
Then hung my falling flowers spring sign along with a collection of white decor over the mantel. Make sure to click the link below to see the mantel and sign dressed in white for spring.
While you're at the website click the images on the bottom for loads of spring ideas or type in the search bar above.

Dipping the flowers into plaster of paris works great after dry you can spray paint, they hold their shape.
