How to Build an Easy Industrial 2x4 Shelving Unit

Hey, hey! I'm happy to say that I FINALLY finished my sons's new 2x4 industrial shelving unit. It was a fairly straight forward and easy build, it just took me way too long to get motivated to get it completed.
You can find the full step by step tutorial and source list HERE!
Since I am lucky enough to have a well stocked supply of paint, stain and building supplies I was able to complete this build for less than $20.00! You can't beat that for custom storage!
The dark stain and metals brackets add the perfect rustic touch.

I couldn't be happier with how this little shelf turned out! I love that it offers storage as well as frees up valued floor space for playing. Head over to the link below for the full tutorial!

I had the thought yesterday to do something like this but big enough to cover a whole wall. probably about 12 feet wide. I was wondering do you think it would be sturdy enough to hold a 50 gallon fish tank. I feel the wall space is wasted with the tank. if I could build shelves that went over and under but contained the tank I'd have more space.
