Outlet almost catches house on fire.

This outlet had been installed with a quick connect (back stab) method that leaves connections loose over time. If the homeowners had not been home they may have lost everything. Annual inspections are so important for aging electrical systems, but most people never have them.......

Fair Lighting & Electrical on Jun 22, 2013I would agree with water infiltration, improper cover. A In-use cover would have marked the siding as well as the caulking to properly seal the uneven siding location. none of that is present. The box is fine if its sealed and covered correctly.Might have been a Back-stab but I've never seen one of those in a GFCI.
