Serene master bedroom retreat

Our client requested a subdued palette in luxurious fabrics for her new bedding and window treatments.

Beautiful work Ladies!! I love the window treatment - simple but elegant. The drop leaf end table and pretty "vintage" look chair are perfect!!

@Susan, the client has some family pieces that she loves, and those are two of the pieces that had to stay. We love pieces that have a story to tell.

@Rivka, what would you like to know about the window treatment?

How did you hang it that way? Equipment, supplies, etc. Are those wood corner medallions you stained and have some sort of hook on and then a buttonhole in the fabric?

Also what sort of backing is on the fabric to give it body?

The medallions were ordered in that bronze color from a drapery hardware supply company. They are wood. The valances have ties attached to them in the fabrication process, and our installer ties them onto the posts of the medallions. The ties are then hidden behind the fabric. The projection of the posts is important to get the treatment out away from the wall a few inches.

@Patricia Thank you! Draperies and top treatments/valances are all window treatments, but draperies would be panels that hang to the floor.

When this treatment (the windows) is flat, what does it look like? I love the way it hangs and it may solve a problem for me.

Lori, the treatment is made in sections that are stitched together before it is installed, so the only time it is flat is while it is on the cutting table! The swag sections are gathered into pleats and then attached to the back side of the horn sections. Hope this helps.
