Game Table Rescued From Roadside

Every once in awhile, hubby surprises me ... like when he dragged this game table home from a neighbor's roadside garbage pile. At first I wasn't happy, but I gave it another thought and realized I could transform our neighbor's trash into a fun and functional piece for our front porch.
Each drawer has a different game, and I was happy to find all the pieces were still in place and in decent shape. It was the outside of the table that needed rescuing!
The table top had lots of stains, a couple cigarette burns, and rings from drinks that had been set on top for too long. I gave it a light sanding and used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to give it new life.
I had a script stamp on hand and decided to apply a script finish to the drawer fronts. A light waxing protects the paint from outdoor elements. Visit my blog to see the project in its entirety and how we're currently using it on our porch.

Given you mentioned fun and functionality, how about turning it into a miniature casino table? I can offer online casinos as a reference. I've been playing at Shazam Casino and I gotta say, it's pretty amazing! Their site https://shazamlogin.com.au is licensed by the Government of Curacao and have a game library of over 200 games! You name it, table games, video slots, even jackpot slots - they've got it all. Plus, they really know how to welcome their players. I still remember the AU$ 7500 welcome bonus I received. Now that's what I call rolling out the red carpet! Also, it's really user-friendly and safe, which matters a lot to me. Replicating a mini-casino vibe could be an exciting way to upcycle your table. You could paint it to resemble a poker or blackjack table, or even a roulette wheel.
