Clay B on May 22, 2012Shower, my wife used our brand new jetted tub one time in the four years we lived at that house, too much bother/time to fill it. I used it Zero times, not interested. Rather have a big shower. I have only one recomendation for a tiled shower, make many nooks for shampoo and stuff, not just one like the photo, you'll always need more space than you made, plus add some stainless steel hooks, or ceramic ones to hang a few things. I say more nooks and hooks now while the project is underway.Helpful Reply

AK Complete Home Renovations on May 22, 2012Great question to pose. We're seeing more and more homeowners deciding to remove their tubs and create large custom showers. Of course, we still have a few bathroom remodeling clients who want us to design the whole bathroom around the tub!!Helpful Reply

Kelly F on May 30, 2012I have a jetted tub (Jacuzzi brand) in the down stairs bathroom- there is also a (standard) shower above the tub. In my bedroom upstairs I have a really big Kohler Vintage Series Cast Iron tub with the escutcheon tubes and hand hand shower. The big soaker tub is the one we use. We never use the jetted tub- we do use the standard shower downstairs- but I think the jets in that tub have been used a total of 5 times in 12 years.Helpful Reply
