Annie Doherty on Jun 22, 2016I do rub down metal in case of rust and then use a primer before painting it with a quality paint .I. e. Rustoleum or similar I swear by Zinsser primers which I have used for years as they work every time and are perfect on metal. I use an oil based Eggshell or specialist paint for metal if leaving outside. If the table is for interior Eggshell, or chalk paint will look terrific, good luck with your project.Helpful Reply
