Add vertical interest to a flower border with a funnel and a shovel or broom handle.

This handle was actually broken but worked well to elevate the funnel. Check out my blog post: http://organizedclutterqueen.blogspot.com/2012/05/completing-outdoor-vignette.html

Where would I find funnels that large or even larger?

This is Northern Minnesota, and we had frost last night. It may take some time Doug! Thanks.

Just remember if you can get up before the sun hits the ice on the plants and hose them down the frost usually will not hurt them. I get up early and hose down the east side of the houses planting if there is something in question like my fruit trees. Was up early a week or so ago and sprayed the new baby trees. You would not know there had been a frost.

This looks something like the oil drainage funnels that my husband uses for oil changes at his shop. I will have to have him look around and see if there are any that aren't being used anymore. Geez, I am such the gleaner.
