Yamini LEED AP at Urbanmotifs on Mar 10, 2011There are several methods to do this, apart from the boring shelves you can incorporate storage in your center table or baskets under the table. A lot of hooks in my coat closet help me get my totes, book bags, coats all out of the way. I usually suggest a console table in the foyer, for keys, an dthings that you will take on your way out, A suspended cubby in your garage for mails and things you bring in from outside and dont end up on the kitchen table. Armoire's are also good options.Helpful Reply

James A on Mar 10, 2011Thrift stores are always a good place to find cheap items, that are unique. My rule is that if I bring something in, something has to go. I have removed all things from my place that I DON'T have a passion for. I am down to a few things that give me pleasure. Try some other Feng Shui ideas. Plenty of info is available at the library or at online searches.Helpful Reply

Chezwhick on Mar 10, 2011Yamini has a good idea with the hooks and the console table. I can put new hooks behind the front door and get rid of the old ones. we could do a cubby in the hallway where the elliptical is currently parked. keys, mail, odds and endsHelpful Reply

Liz on Mar 10, 2011Sounds good, but i want a cubby that's closed - so you cant see the junk. Something with doors maybe...? I think its time for another trip to Ikea....Helpful Reply
