I know of putting a half box of baking soda and let it stay all night. Denture tablets may work on the same basis. I know you can drop them in bottles with small necks that you cannot get a sponge ot cloth in for cleaning. They certainly can't hurt a toilet bowl or plumbing. Let us know how well it works. You may be onto something. -

Baking soda sounds like a cheaper, effective option to me. -
Nope, didn't work. Tried one tablet-then two, neither one broke down into fizz like I had expected but after a bit I did notice a minty scent. Didn't last.

Compared to a small glass for dentures, it would take a considerable number of tablets in a toilet bowl. Baking soda is cheaper to try.

CLR or Lime Away will remove any build up that scrubbing fails if you're trying to clean stubborn mineral stains. -
No they don't. Tried 10 tablets after 2 did nothing.They will fizz to remove stains only if the water is fairly hot. I guess you could drain your toilet with a bucket of water and then add just enough hot to not make it flush and then add the tablets but gee what a hassle when there are so many other cleaners! -
Just wondered, had heard someone say that they were thrilled with the tablets....I'm not impressed. Will go back to the tried and true. Thanks everyone!

I have always used comet in my toilets, put it in let sit 5 mins and swirl with brush, I never have rings. I don't have hard water though. I have heard you can pour a can of Coke in it and let it sit over night. I have never tried it. -
I use the denture cleaners in my toilet and yes they do work! I usually put about 2 in the tank and 2 in the bowl, let sit over night and finish with your brush in the morning. How ever for hard water stains, they dont do much. Also, dont use the generics, they dont work NEARLY as well. -
