Using Houseplants in Summer Containers
Using houseplants in your summer containers is a great idea and makes the containers unique. These are containers I photographed on local garden tours.
Stromanthe is the star in this container.
Sansevieria is used as the "thriller" in this container.
A grouping of ferns and caladium look amazing in these matching pots.

Those would all be outdoor plants in my yard, but they do look great in containers as well.

You are lucky, but here in Michigan, they are definitely houseplants.
