Cheap Patio Umbrella Trick
With the warmer months on the way, this umbrella trick for your pool or patio trick might be just what you need.
We required shade at the pool, but space was tight. I didn't haven't room for a large table to house an umbrella and I didn't want to pay for a pricey, small umbrella stand.
Luckily, my husband is pretty handy guy and figured it out. He screened in our covered porch all by himself with kit items from the hardware store and it looks great ( you can peek at it by clicking here, if you would like) so I knew he could figure this out.
He found these stainless steel U-bolts.
They can be exposed to the elements year after year without rusting or rotting. A few bucks and a few minutes is all it took to add some stylish, space saving shade to our pool area.

Karen Hamer on Feb 05, 2017We did this several years ago with a old umbrella we had when the table broke. Porch had no roof and no shade. We actually used strips of copper my husband had left over from an installation job he did. Worked well up too the day we moved.

Nancy on Feb 17, 2017I have wanted to put an umbrella up but was afraid it would take too much room on our deck. This will work perfect!!! Thank you and looks great!!!
