Using Handmade Papers to Transform Vintage Furniture
Because I make highly textured plant papers from the plants I grow and process, I challenged myself to see if I could use those papers in a vintage furniture transformation. I learned a lot in the process. I used 8 1/2 X 11" sheets of paper on a vintage dressing table to cover up rough wood in an area that it would have been impossible to sand (without taking the entire dressing table apart.) I also learned that next time I'll use the papers on the side panels or drawers but not the top. I saved this table by having a piece of custom glass cut to fit the top and protect the surface.
