DIY Farmhouse Clock

After seeing several farmhouse clocks online and in magazines, I decided to make one of my own! I shared all about how we made it on my blog!
We started by screwing some boards together and then cutting it out into a large circle. Next I stained it and then painted over it in white. This helped when I distressed it so the dark wood showed through.
After distressing, I used vinyl to create stencils for the Roman numerals. I used black craft paint to paint the numbers.
Once the paint dried, I removed the vinyl to reveal crisp numbers. Here is the almost finished product.
Finally, I added the hands. All done!!
Later, we moved the clock to our entry table.

Evelyn frey on Jan 04, 2017Love it! My daughter just bought her first home and I think I would like to make her an oversized clock like that. Where do I find the hands for an oversized clock like that?
