Yair Spolter on Aug 10, 2016Hi Vicki, My name is Yair and I manage the advertising on Hometalk. Hometalk does not actually choose the ads that appear on the site. Generally, they are related to other sites that you have visited. Nevertheless, we can disqualify categories of ads from appearing. Since it is impossible for us to know about every ad that appears on Hometalk, we have added a "Report this ad" link under every ad, allowing users like yourself to inform us when you see something that appears inappropriate or offensive. We are monitoring 24 hours a day and do our best to keep the ads on Hometalk clean and relevant. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I'm sorry that you were served an offensive ad and we will do everything we can to prevent this happening in the future. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to my personal email: yair@hometalk.com. I hope that you will reconsider leaving Hometalk - we would hate to see you go!Helpful Reply
