Before and After Paint Projects- Small Furniture

I am getting ready for my first booth, a one day sale and I am learning as I go. Here are some projects so far and the little I have learned.
I am not gambling with large pieces, for now I am staying fairly neutral on them
I use home made chalk paint and use #PlasterofParis or #grout diluted in water, then mixed into paint. Works great and much more affordable, especially if you use oops paint.
See that long table? It has a weird finish, when I started painting it bled through terribly! If you have a reddish veneer finish that is not the best quality finish, be warned, test first. Use primer, #Kilz or seal with shellac first.
I also mix my own dark wax by squishing in some dark #stain into regular, and much cheaper #Minwax
If I can't find the #stencil I want, I find a free printable design, print on good card stock and cut it out with an exacto knife, be sure and find a relatively simple pattern.
I also fell in love with Miss Lolita, a #mannequin who got a #decoupaged makeover
Mixing two colors in similar tone is an appealing and soft look to me.
This #sawhorse is my favorite #upcycle so far! #vintage #yardsticks were used to hide the well used top.
Combining paint, black chalk paint and decoupage turned this little piece into a more neutral and diverse piece. Not so limited to which room in goes into now!
