We are working again this year to repair our landscape, yard and grass damage. Thinking of putting crusher run in a large area and wanted to know if anyone has any tips for doing this. Does the area need to be level or can it have uneven areas?
Put dry creek bed from drive way to creek, want to add crusher run to the right, off driveway to the creek

  • Hi Sarah, Sorry to hear about the damage you suffered. The crusher stone doesn't need to be level, but to me at least it looks better if it is "even" (level in regards to slope the ground itself is at) I would suggest making it about 4 - 6 inches deep to allow for good drainage. If this is to be used as some sort of water run-off/flood prevention, don't pack it down any. You might add a couple inches of sand under the stone for added drainage.
